Our own experience with aging parents guided us to develop a business that would help seniors; sons and daughters overcome some of the challenges associated with Fathertime.

We offer Senior Relocation, Downsizing and Estate Sale Services backed by our expertise.

What we do

Our Services

  • Assessment & Guidance: Our service is a seamless beginning to end solution. We will assess our client family needs and establish an operational plan to follow.
  • Concierge: Whether you are a family member or conservator locally or from out of the area we can arrange a concierge service to maximize your time while in our service area with pre-arranged appointments and agenda relying on an extensive list of personal contacts with various pre-qualified service providers, senior facilities and local merchants.
  • Senior Moving Services: Our Senior Move Managers can help senior residents move into another residence or care facility. We will work closely with the conservator or family members to help plan the move, sort and pack their belongings, arrange for shipping of their personal property and furniture, and unpack everything for them at the new location to help them settle in with the least amount of stress over the move.
  • Estates Services: Our first step is Security of the home and its contents. We will tour the estate with members of the family, the Executor, Conservator, or a designated Trusted Witness and make the many necessary security arrangements. Learn more
  • Inventory & Appraisal: The next step is to take a comprehensive inventory of items in the residence. We will submit the list with recommended pricing in both hard copy and electronic form to the Executor or Conservator. Upon request, we will also take digital photographs of all the rooms and selected individual items for insurance, security, and liquidation purposes.
  • Liquidation of Personal Property: There are many ways to liquidate personal property, and we will tailor the methodology to our clients' needs or desires.
  • Residence: We will prepare the residence for its next stage by disposing of remaining rubbish and clean the residence leaving the property ready for sale or rent. If repairs, sale or rental is required our concierge services are available and we will coordinate.
  • Final Accounting: Upon the conclusion of our services, we will present the appropriate party with an itemized hardcopy and electronic copy of all transactions performed.
  • Special Needs: Members of the Caring Transitions team are expert problem solvers, and we will come up with creative solutions to any problem you may have.
  • Pets: Working with animal right and rescue groups we will make every effort to find kind and caring homes for all pets.

The most important part of this process isn't the care-taking, the errands and chores that won't change the outcome. For me, I want to accompany my mom along her journey and do what I can to help her face and accept the process. The chores still need to be done, but they are just added to my to-do-list and no longer carry the emotional weight they once did.
