What is a professional organizer?

A professional organizer enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills. A professional organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits. Professional organizers help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper, and their systems for life.

A Professional Organizer will develop more space in your home by developing a downsizing strategy. Some of our clients not only find more space in their home but end up making money from our services, by eliminating the need for outside storage, finding things they thought were gone for good, taking a tax deduction for donated items, selling unneeded items via our eBay store, and experiencing much greater efficiency in their homes. 

What does the organizer do?

• Make an assessment of the project and develop an organizing strategy with you. 
• Discuss the immediate objectives, the ultimate goal, and what area(s) are most urgent.  Then devise a specific process for that day's work. 
• Dependent upon your level of involvement and the types of items we are dealing with, we can either work with you at our side, or we can do the work by alone. 
• The Organizer will use skilled methods and place items in separate categories marked "keep," "donate," "sell," and "discard". You will make the final decision as to what items stay in which categories.
• The organizer will neatly organize and put back "keep" items in an orderly manner.
• "Donated" items will be readied for charity  
• Options will be discussed with you by the Organizer for “Sell” items like the Caring Transitions St Louis eBay store “Estate Sales by Fathertime”.
• “Discard” items will be prepared for the curb or for pickup by one of our  Preferred Partners.
